OCAPICA provides individually tailored and comprehensive behavioral health services, which include community outreach, wellness and prevention workshops, mental health screenings, education, short-term individual, group, and family counseling, peer support services, referrals, case management, and supportive services. With over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, OCAPICA has been a trusted provider of comprehensive, responsive, and accessible services to diverse communities across Orange County. All services are free, multilingual, and only open to Orange County residents.
Each year, OCAPICA serves over 20,000 individuals across the county in suicide prevention and harm reduction. More than 80% of the individuals we serve report having experienced suicidal thoughts. In response, OCAPICA has implemented comprehensive procedures to support clients and families who are at risk, have been impacted by suicide, or are grieving the loss of a loved one. We work closely with emergency departments, hospitals, school districts, faith-based organizations, and families to ensure individuals experiencing severe depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, or suicide loss receive long-term, ongoing care and support. Our team provides daily outreach and meets individuals wherever they feel safest and most comfortable whether in homes, schools, places of worship, or the community.

OCAPICA has a robust team of behavioral health providers including, 2 psychiatrists, 2 psychiatric nurses, 38 licensed clinicians, 45 peer support rehabilitation and case managers, and 65 youth peer suicide prevention leaders. Well(ness)essity:
Enhanced Care Management (ECM) is a new statewide Medi-Cal benefit available to select populations of focus that addresses the clinical and non-clinical needs of the highest-utilizing members through intensive coordination of health and health-related services. ECM meets members wherever they are—on the street, in a shelter, in their doctor's office or at home. Members have a single lead care manager who will coordinate care and services among the physical, behavioral, dental, developmental and social services delivery systems, making it easier for them to get the right care at the right time. We are also currently providing services for Vietnamese seniors in Orange County! 🌟 If you're 60+ or know someone who is and feeling the weight of loneliness or depression, this is for you or your loved one. Project HOPE provides short-term counseling and case management for those aged 0-25 with mild to moderate mental health concerns. INTENSIVE SERVICES (FULL SERVICE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS)
Additional intensive behavioral health services for community members living with serious emotional disturbances or serious mental illness include 24/7 crisis response/intervention, case management, psychiatric services, educational and vocational support, benefits acquisition, individual / collateral therapy, rehabilitation workshops, linkage to primary care, transportation, housing, food, and co-occurring substance use disorder support. We accept daily referrals from every hospital in the county, as well as school districts, community clinics, senior centers, family resource centers, faith-based organizations, and workplaces.

Project FOCUS:
Project FOCUS provides intensive services for AANHPIs 0-25 years old and their families. The goal of Project FOCUS is to do “whatever it takes” to support a young person in their recovery and to ensure they stay in their homes and communities. Learn more and contact information. |
