New
Education Curriculum
A
newly adapted curriculum has been developed to supplement
the movie Journey
from the Fall
by Ham Tran. The curriculum focuses on the
experience of Vietnamese Americans, as immigrants
to the United States following the Fall of Saigon
in 1975. The curriculum covers the history of
the Vietnamese who fled their native country in fear
of persecution by the new Communist government and
supplements the film Journey
from the Fall which depicts a family '
s journey in this historical context. The curriculum
covers the California Standards for the Teaching Profession
(CSTP) and covers World History, the American Experience,
World Literature, American Literature and Multicultural
Education subjects. The curriculum is a collaborative
effort between CSULB CLMER, MTSA/Induction, OCAPICA
and VAALA.
