Project C.A.L. 24
OCAPICA
is looking for 24 high school students to participate
in a program called Project C.A.L. 24 . Project
C.A.L (Cultural Artistic Leadership) 24 (meaning
24 participants) is a 12-week course beginning
February 6, 2006 and end on April 5, 2006, where
participants will be introduced to various community
leaders and organizations, learn strong leadership
and organizational life skills, and is a great
way to prepare for college. All applicants must
be of high school age and must fully complete
the application by the January 29th deadline.
Project C.A.L. 24 has two main group projects:
To create and publish a youth magazine.
To run a youth event called The Lounge.
Participants will also be involved with various
community organizations such as UCI, Project
Hope School and many others.
This is a great opportunity for chance to network
with other high schools, build their personal
resume, and most of all make a difference in
the community.
If you know of any students in your youth club
that would be interested in participating, you
can contact Vicky Ojerio at (714) 636-9095 x
207, or email at vojerio@ocapica.org
. Applications can be downloaded off at
